In her more than 25-year career in HR and recruiting, Sharon Palmeter has applied her passion for implementing creative HR, recruiting, and retention programs to support various organizations’ revenues and workplace goals. At ADV, she oversees recruiting and hiring, training and development, compliance, recognition, wellness, compensation, benefits, onboarding, and out processing.
Prior to joining ADV, she served as vice president of human resources and recruiting for Dovel Technologies, where she oversaw all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Before Dovel, she worked with QinetiQ as director of talent acquisition for the company’s 3,000-person Mission Solutions Group. While at QinetiQ, she implemented best practices in compliance. Her most notable achievement was creating an executive recruiting dashboard that showcased bi-weekly recruiting data that positioned the company for growth.
Palmeter has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on small business management. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and serves as a steering committee member of the Northern Virginia Tech Council (NTVC)-HR. By extension, she is a representative member of the NVTC Tech Talent Initiative Employer Collaborative.
